As Liberia prepares to host the 4th edition of the Monrovia Tech Summit (MTS) from April 23–24, 2025, the presence of a key national leader sends a powerful message. The summit organizers are proud to officially announce that Hon. J. Bryant Byrant McGill, Deputy Minister for Youth Development, Ministry of Youth and Sports, will be making a Special Statement at the national gathering of innovators, policymakers, and changemakers.
The Monrovia Tech Summit has become one of Liberia’s most anticipated youth-led innovation and digital transformation events, drawing attention across sectors and creating platforms for meaningful youth empowerment through technology, policy engagement, and skill-building.
Peterking Quaye, Summit Director and Regional Director of the West Africa ICT Action Network, welcomed this high-level participation with great enthusiasm:
“The participation of Deputy Minister McGill at MTS 2025 is a testament to the government’s growing commitment to the digital future of Liberia. His leadership in youth development aligns directly with our vision of transforming Liberia through innovation and skill-based empowerment. This is more than a statement – it’s a symbol of partnership for impact. We are looking forward to building a national digital skills development agenda in partnership with the Ministry,” said Peterking Quaye.
Deputy Minister McGill’s presence is expected to energize ongoing discussions around national digital literacy strategies, youth innovation hubs, and inclusive development policies. His address will touch on the government’s broader youth development strategy and its role in advancing Liberia’s digital economy.
The future of youth engagement in Liberia looks promising. With strategic partnerships forming between government, civil society, and the private sector, the Monrovia Tech Summit 2025 is poised to ignite conversations and actions that will reshape how technology is used as a tool for development across the nation.
“We must not only talk about the future—we must build it, starting now. Through collaboration and leadership, Liberia can unlock the full potential of its youth in the digital age,” Quaye added.
As the nation prepares to welcome delegates from across Liberia and the Mano River Union region, the organizing committee extends its gratitude to the Ministry of Posts & Telecommunication , Telecel Liberia, Ministry of Youth and Sports for its continued support—and to Deputy Minister McGill for standing with Liberia’s youth at this defining moment.
